How do I apply?
If you would like to train to become a teacher and would like to train at any of our alliance schools, learning on the job, you will need to do so through the new DfE Find postgraduate teacher training website - details to follow!
Our aim is to invite applicants who have the talent, commitment and enthusiasm to become outstanding Primary teachers.
Early application is recommended. Interviews for recruitment to September 2018 courses will take place from December 2018 to June 2019. Following your application, shortlisting will take place to invite appropriate candidates to interview. Successful candidates will be offered a place on the course subject to the completion of the QTS skills tests (English, Maths) by a specified date. We strongly recommend that candidates sit these tests as soon as they register their application.
Interviews last a full day and are held in one of the NEXUS Schools, where candidates will be observed working with groups of children. During the interview, the interviewers will have an informed discussion with candidates on teaching and learning, subject knowledge and the relevant curriculum and previous school and/or setting experience. The interviews will also explore your commitment and potential to become a teacher, including your professionalism and ability to manage the challenges and pressures of the course.
