National Leader of Governance
We are lucky to have a National Leader of Governance (NLG), Paul Moorhouse, working within South Glos TSA.
Paul is an experienced Chair of Governors with a track record of raising school performance and implementing and sustaining effective governance.
He has excellent leadership skills along with the skills to influence improvement by supporting or challenging headteachers. As a NLG, Paul is able to support the governing body at your school. This support could include: coaching and mentoring of a chair; supporting a chair to understand data and raise standards; helping a chair to develop their own leadership; and external reviews of governance. NLGs concentrate on developing leadership capacity and in some cases, they work in partnership with a national leader of education. Support can be delivered face-to-face, by telephone or by email.
